JR Farm Chinchilla Sand Special is fine-grained sepiolite sand for the daily bath. Quartz-free!
Sepiolite is a clay-containing mineral which, in contrast to quartz-containing sand (such as bird sand or aquarium sand), has no sharp edges. It is porous and can therefore remove grease and other impurities from the chinchilla fur particularly well. This way the fur keeps its natural silky shine.This special sand does not cause dull or brittle fur like normal sand.
