Product description

Complete dry food for large breed puppies, with a new recipe to support healthy growth between 2-15 months, supporting the immune system and encouraging balance in the gut flora.

Healthy startRoyal Canin Maxi Puppy is specially formulated to meet the nutritional needs of large breed puppies. The recipe is suitable for between the ages of 2-15 months, ideal for puppies with an expected adult weight of 26-44kg. The tailored nutrition contains nutrients such as vitamins C and E, which support your puppy's natural defences while the immune system is developing. Omega-3 fatty acids (such as DHA) encourage optimum brain development in puppies.
Puppy growthA combination of beneficial prebiotics (such as FOS, MOS and beet pulp) and highly-digestible proteins allow this Royal Canin Maxi Puppy to support balance in the gut flora and encourage good digestion. The recipe also contains an ideal energy content to meet the needs of growing large-breed puppies.
BenefitsRoyal Canin Maxi Puppy at a glance:
  • Complete dry food for large breed puppies aged 2-15 months with an expected adult weight of between 26-44kg
  • Strong immune system: contains nutrients such as vitamins C & E to strengthen the body's defences
  • Brain development: enriched with omega-3 fatty acids
  • Supports the gut flora: with prebiotics and highly-digestible proteins
  • Optimum energy content: to meet the high energy need of large breed puppies
Rehydratable kibbleThe kibble in this Royal Canin Maxi Puppy is specially developed to meet the needs of large breed puppies. The size and shape of the kibble is designed to promote chewing, slowing the speed in which your puppy takes in its food and promoting feelings of fullness. The mechanical brushing effect caused by chewing also helps to support your puppy's dental health.

Severe allergy with this food
My golden retriever puppy had a severe skin allergy with this food (Royal Canin big breed puppy) - the floor was covered with white dandruff and dry skin. She was scratching herself all the time. Everything passed when we changed the food. I would not recommend this food for a puppy.

Royal canon for our staffy.
Our staffy is a rescue dog ,we had her when she was nearly 1. I won't go into details of how badly she was treated, anyway we tried various foods for her, a few weeks later my sister in law said try royal canin, so I purchased a 15kg bag to try ,nearly 5 years later she's still on it she's as fit as a butcher's dog. Her nose is cold & wet her coat shines, and we've never had any problems with her diet yet and Poppy has energy to spare brilliant.

Decent food
Better than most dog foods, my Ridgeback liked it and did well on it. However be aware that it has a lot of corn in it a cheap calorie filler. I've moved him to Acana now but it is quite a bit more expensive. I try to eat well and try to give my dog an equally good diet.

Excellect for fussy eaters
My 2 years German Shepherd loves this food. He is very fussy. I tried different brands before, Arden Grange, Wellness Core, James Wellbeloved, Wainrights. Which he was only eating a little sometimes. He wasnt much interested. But with Royal Canine maxi junior.. He loves it, he put some weight on in 2 months. I give him juinior, because it has more protein compare to adult one. I would recommend this food. Excellent. I dont usaully write a review. But I thought it may help.

Best dog food there is!
I bought it for a 1 year old Husky I was going to rescue. Sadly the owner on the day changed her mind. NOW I have a 5 months old husky that is eating this food the day he came to my home at 8 weeks of age. He loves it and has no problem with it whatsoever. Zooplus has also the best deal on this food So both me and dog are extremely happy - THANKS!

Our 13 month old pup has a sensitive stomach and was struggling to gain weight. After a recommendation from Our vet she is now starting to gain weight with this food and with the extra 3kg its a bargain

Rottweiler pup loves it.
My rottie was having stomach issues after a bout of very bad vomiting and diarrhoea. Our vet said her food may too rich now and to slowly change to this. She hates all dry foods before this but gobbles all her meals now and her stools are back to normal. She's gaining weight at a steady rate and we will continue with Royal Canin permenantly now.

German Shepherd puppy.
I have a german shepherd puppy she is a female who is 5 months old. She has been feed this from the very start by her breeder who recommended that we continue with Royal Canin Maxi Junior. She has a beautiful coat, smooth and shiny, she appears to be very healthy with firm stools (GSD's seem in my experience prone to diarrhoea if fed the wrong food). I highly recommend it.
