In addition to an especially high meat content (from chicken), the kibble only contains fresh and natural ingredients. Chicken is the single source of protein and the meat has all been sourced from selected farms that only produce human food-grade chicken. The food is very easily digestible and unlikely to cause reactions, thanks to its single-protein composition and the addition of rice as the carbohydrate source, which makes Optimanova Large Adult Chicken & Rice also suitable for dogs with food intolerances.

Optimanova’s high-tech manufacturing systems allow fresh meat to be included in this dog food. 35% of the chicken contained in the food is processed in this way, which leads to lower denaturation of the proteins, and maintains its first-class quality. These modern processes and gentle drying at low temperatures also help to preserve more of the flavour, nutrients and vitamins.

Optimanova Large Adult Chicken & Rice provides your dog with the optimal combination of nutrients for larger dogs. Taurine stimulates the heart function and can help to guard against heart and circulatory problems. Lutein promotes good eyesight and its antioxidant effects protect the retina. Large dogs’ bones and joints can come under particular strain, so the food also contains extra Chondroitin and Glucosamine as well as anti-inflammatory Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids. To ensure that all of these essential nutrients are absorbed and utilised effectively, the digestion needs to be in peak condition, the food also has added L-Glutamin, which can help to protect the mucous membranes in the gut, and also contains ginger extract, that helps to stimulate the production of digestive enzymes. The FOS and MOS prebiotics in this food support the digestive tract further, and help to create friendly gut flora.
