This recipe is formulated to meet the nutritional needs of dogs with acute or chronic kidney insufficiency. If your dog has kidney illness it is important to feed a low-protein diet with reduced levels of sodium and phosphorus, as many of these ingredients can have a detrimental effect on kidney function. For this reason, this wet food contains only limited sources of top-quality animal protein, all of which are very digestible and easy to digest. Beef and chicken offal provide valuable energy without overloading the kidneys and the sodium and phosphorus content has been deliberately reduced to further encourage kidney relief. Vital vitamins and nutrients round off this delicious, meaty wet dog food and provide your pet with a balanced, nutritional meal.

Recommended feeding period: Feed initially for up to 6 months.
Please consult your vet before using this food or extending the feeding period. This is a complete dog food and should be fed according to the feeding guidelines, however feeding amounts should be adapted depending on your dog's level of activity, age or breed. The total daily feeding amount should be divided into 2 or more meals per day.
Serve the food at room temperature. Make sure your dog always has fresh drinking water available.
Contraindication: Not suitable for pregnant and lactating bitches, puppies, in case of hepatic insufficiency associated with a disturbance of bile secretion.
Energy per 100g: ME (FEDIAF 2019) 407 kJ/97kcal.

Dog loves this flavour
Have just tried this flavour only thing seemed to be a lot of fat at the end of the Tin and fat not good for dogs with kidney disease correct me if I’m wrong

Satisfied
Hi everyone, my French bulldog has leishmaniasis and it has hit his kidneys, which means he can only eat renal food .. I have tried all the most famous brands on the market, but she didn't like any of them.. last but not least I wanted to try Rocco renal and he enjoyed it, which he showed by eating a whole tin in next to nothing. .
I bought the KD treats and mixed them with Rocco renal and he devoured it all.

Good readings
My dog has CRI and thanks to this food and her medication we were able to improve her situation. Her readings aren't perfect, but they have definitely gotten better.
The phosphorus and sodium levels are right on.
Pretty standard palatability, my dog got tired of this for a short while but she went back to eating them pretty quickly and now she won't eat anything else. It looks better than most renal foods and the ingredients are great, exactly what it says on the tin.

At last!
After trying other more expensive dry food for our recently diagnosed Mastif cross, she finally has found something she likes! Not a fussy dog we thought she would like anything not so, even mutts have standard! She is looking so much better and is definitely happier and more energetic.

Rocco renal
this seems to be very tasty for the dog. we add it to his dry food for a kidney-friendly diet and the bowl is empty in a flash :) I recommend it

Definitely convenient
Compared to other well-known brands it is much cheaper! Unfortunately one of my dogs can only eat renal food so I'm trying them all.

Renal exceptional value for money
What can I say? Rocco has cemented itself as a brand, in my eyes and those of my dog too, truly exceptional. Also this food, at a much lower cost than other brands, is really excellent and has been much appreciated by my Maremma

Good food
The ingredients are nice, the phosphorus and sodium are limited, it tastes good and I recommend it. Only downside is it's quite greasy, but not like the Integra. Here the fat collects at the bottom creating a layer that I don't give the dog.

great food
great food, it suits my dog really well after 10 days. It started with a bit of diarrhea and I was worried that he might not be able to tolerate it... but once again I realised that you just have to give the digestive tract a bit of time to get used to the new food. Now everything is great, output is nice and solid, normal amount as well.

Life saver
This product has been wonderful for our 13 year old GBGV. She was diagnosed with stage 2 renal failure and was having accidents and seemed to have an unquenchable thirst. Within 48 hours of starting on Rocco renal she was back to her old self. From draining 4 bowls of water a day to her usual half bowl and no accidents. And she loves it, gets massively excited when we open the tin and wolfs it down. Really good quality product. We’ve so relieved that we can avoid medication at this stage.

Rocco Renal
I have a 15 year old in stage 2 CKD. She would not eat the Hills Prescription. Mercifully found this and she loves it. Its been a lifesaver.
