Product description

A large wicker basket with plastic-coated metal door. Perfect for holidays or trips to the vet, but also as a cosy den where your pet can hide away. Suitable for larger cat breeds and small dogs.

This beautiful, large wicker cat basket from Aumüller is a great size for large cat breeds and small dogs.

The metal door is attached to the basket with three buckle straps and can be completely removed. It is plastic-coated to prevent rusting. There is a handle on the top of the basket so it is easy to transport your pet.

When the metal grille door is removed it becomes a cosy den where your cat can hide away and feel secure and protected. Just add a warm, soft blanket or cushion to turn it into a really comfortable sleeping place.

Aumüller Wicker Den XXL at a glance:

  • 56 x 38 x 47 cm (L x W x H)

Fantastic For Large Breeds.
My ragdoll x Norwegian Forest Cats are too big and heavy for most of the normal plastic cat carriers. This wicker carrier however is amazing. Our vet even complimented it on its design. The nice big open front makes my cats far calmer when we do have to take them somewhere. It's an excellent size for maine coon sized cats, and very sturdy. There is no cushion, but it's easy to pop one in. Very highly recommend.

Highly recommend!!!
These are honestly amazing, so well made you’ll have it forever. Really lovely in your space as a bed or bringing your little furry companion to the vet etc. They are quite large so your cat with be comfy when you put a pillow/blanket in there for them. Really recommend, great for the price

Wow!
Stunning carrier. Really spacious and was perfect for my 6 kilo boy on a 3 hour journey as there was plenty of space inside for him to move around and arch his back. There wasn't a sound! I lined it with a thermal underlay to make it comfy. The straps really make the round grille secure and it's such a bonus that straps and grille can be removed entirely turning the carrier into a luxury bed. People comment on how great it looks all the time. It's a beauty and great value for rmoney.

Excellent bed/carrier.
I have four Siamese and a Bengal. They love these baskets so much I had to buy two. They do have a few sharp pieces of wicker sticking out inside but it is possible to break some off without damaging the basket. Probably best for adult cats! They are gorgeous baskets, well made and excellent value for money. Need a padded cushion inside as quite hard to lay on without.

Very good buy!!
I bought this for my 1 year old ragdolls. There is still plenty of room for them to grow and it's very stylish. They seem to be happier sitting in these than our previous boxes and the hole at the front allows them to see what's going on.

Adult cats only really
Looks lovely, lots of space, makes a great cat bed in our hallway. However, it could do with more straps as our older cat likes to test her luck pushing at the grate and there can be a bit of a gap at the edges and our kitten can get her head between the bars! We only travel strictly supervised due to this. Probably best for adult cats only.

Sturdy and stylish
Yeah we loved this! it's really sturdy and not only is it big enough for our maine coon but everyone compliments how different it is and how much they love it. The only problem is the following, the wicker pieces are slightly brittle in some places and you will have to pull out a piece here and there every now and then so the cat doesn't get a jab off it. Also if you have a maine coon but you are walking, not driving, this may feel too heavy for your heavy cat. We are looking at alternatives now

best buy
I bought my basket in 2002 its a bed my cay loves it but he's not happy with the cage its roomy my maine coon hae plenty room to turn round and walk it still doing its job but some wicker has broken off it looks not bad for a 13yrs old cage bed. I'm buying the same one as last time. Who'd blame me I highly recommend this basket

always get asked where did I buy it
i have this basket (twice) for 4 years now and it still looks like brand new. I get asked a lot where I bought it. My both cats look very comfortable in it and I only use it for the dreaded trips to the vet. It is an absolute number one for us!

best cat carrier I've come across
A friend purchased this for her rescue kitten. We collected her and she hopped right in and was very comfy for the journey. We put a small pet bed on the bottom for extra comfort and she likes to sleep in there. So getting her in for vet visits is simple
