I have previous and current version, new version is poor quality
I bought this product as I'm relatively pleased with the first one I bought a number of months ago.
I'm disappointed with this version as the hutch poor is poorly made and ill fitted to the hutch. It doesn't sit right or secure when closed. My biggest issue is that there are no rungs on the ramp so my rabbit is struggling to get into the hutch and is hurting himself coming out of it.
I had to buy a cheap rug and my husband had to cut it up and staple it to the hutch so my rabbit use it.
Not suitable for night time/ long period of time
Item was damaged on arrival (split and chipped) but cant be bothered for the hassle of sending it back. I would NOT recommend this for evening or night time use. The bottom floor is not safe/secure (lifts up) so predator can easily gain access to your pet! The top has no lock for the roof so again they can easily lift it up and get to your animal. I purchased this for a Tortoise run/enclosure but I would NOT use it for my rabbit or my chickens as its asking for trouble! DEATH!

happy guineas
I bought this house last summer along with the octagonal run to use for grazing for my guinea pigs. Unfortunately i was cleaning it out in a hurry one day i was sliding the floor back underneath and put it in the wrong and it jammed, its been there ever since. It makes cleaning out a lot tougher but other than that never had a problem with it. Its fairly weather proof and durable and i use it all year round.l consider buying it again in future. Perfect for a hidey den attached to a run.
MY BIRTHDAY
I was on another web site and the same sort of house was £36.99 and then your page has them for way cheaper
I HOPE I GET IT FOR MY BIRTHDAY :)

Good...with a few modifications!
Bought this for my 2 guinea pigs in 2011. Easy to assemble and a nice size. I did have to make 2 modifications to it. One was to glue some little wooden strips to the ramp as they were having difficulty gaining purchase on the smooth wood. The other was gluing a bit of hardboard to the doorway to make the opening smaller (good size for a rabbit...bit too big for piggies). The one thing that did annoy me with it was that the lid sometimes slides off it's hinges and trying to get it back on takes a bit of patience! I haven't used it for a while as i got another guinea and it wasn't really big enough for 3...especially as one of the girls is a bit of a stroppy cow and likes to commandeer the best spot.

Bunnies do like to chew ...
I originally bought one hutch to go inside a run to provide a warm and dry refuge from the rain. I was so impressed that I then purchased another two for the other runs, however bunnies do like to chew and one hutch is missing a leg and another is 80% knawed away. The latter despite being painted with bitumen! I would recommend that if you bunny is a "chewer" that you cover the legs with wire mesh or similar protection.
present for grandchildren and their guinea pigs
Excellent product, easy to put together and seems very sturdy. My young grandchildren are very pleased with it as they can watch and play with their pets outside as well as in now. Also bought the sun net(simple to install) and an outside hutch to attach to the run. I will be shopping with zooplus again.
Good but be careful of polecats
We have had one of these runs for 4 years with 2 of the Trixie Natura small pet houses. Our 2 guinea pigs absolutely loved using it. The run is a good size and easy to move around the garden. However please be careful, last week a polecat managed to get in our run and killed the 2 guinea pigs. I still like the overall design of the run but in future I will put some chicken wire around the edges.
just be careful
We are new to the guinea pig owning world. We bought this and the small outdoor hutch that comes with it. The hutch is lovely, the run looks a bit wonky but will do the trick. However, just make sure that your piggies don't fit through the gaps! One of ours did and made a break for the fence! We have just spent a very tense hour trying to get him back and I am very pleased to say that we caught him. I would have felt really dreadful if we had lost him. I know we were stupid but please learn from our mistake and wait until yours are big enough not to squeeze through.
Love them!
I now have seven runs for my 8 buns and 2 piggies and they all love them. Only downside is the sun covers - as they are attached with velcro it takes my lot only a few minutes to chew through the straps! It would be good if you could make the covers with some kind of clips that the buns cant destroy! However, that aside, they are definately the best runs I have every had (and I've had a few over the past 25years)...

excellent buy
Think I confused my purchase with the other small pet hutch. This is the one I purchased. A great buy for a visit to the garden attached to a run for my in door house dwarf rabbit, while I hang washing out and cut lawn and stuff. She sat in it until she was ready to explore the outside air and grass. Would recommend to anyone who has an indoor rabbit who is not locked in a cage day and night, for those garden visits.

Excellent!
This run is really good, the larger run is an excellent size and my rabbits love it. Gives them plenty of room to stretch up and run about. Easily assembled, however, once assembled really needs two to move it (as you end up bending the pins if you do it alone). It can be taken down and stored flat no tools required! With the various doors and hatches it can be paired up with a hutch or small animal box to provide somewhere to hide. We had a tarpaulin made to fit across the top to protect from inclement weather. Unfortunately, our rabbits chewed through the velcro fastenings on the sun protection sheet!

very good
bought the large version and it is the best run ive ever had, its huge and the rabbits love it as they can stand up and everything. i would however suggest printing off the instructions from here first as i was to discover their were no instructions in the box, struggled to put it together then to find when i finished that the instructions were on here

Perfect hide away for run
i got the larger of the sizes for my pair of rabbits. Perfect size, and easily put together, good quality, the only thing that was abit naff was the base, which is plastic (a good thing, better hygeine) but something wasnt put together right as the plastic bowed up abit making it not slide in and out particully well, but its only a little nuisance. Apart from that great product

Cats love it
I brought this for when my cats are outside and caught in the rain if im at work. they both love it. fit my 2 1yr old cats perfectly as they love to snuggle. im going to buy another one though because they are getting bigger and soon wont both fit.
Great shelter for Guinea pigs and Rabbits
My GPs and rabbits share this shelter when in the run together. They all love it. It is big enough for my 2 large GPs and 2 small rabbits to share.
It is easy to assemble and well built.
My only criticism is that the ramp is a bit slippery for the GPs and could do with some rungs.

Amazing run!!!
I bought this for my guinea pigs as it was the biggest size I could find and it is brilliant! My guinea pigs love running around and I have filled it with lots of toys and things for them to do.
Only thing I would suggest is cable tie all around the top and this is a very secure run.

Excellent run
This is the 3rd Trixie run i've purchased for my rabbits and i'm very pleased with it. Even though it was the largest size it was easy enough to assemble without any assistance. Two of these runs have been left outside for many seasons but they show no signs of weathering except for a little rust on the door-chain. One of my rabbits is clever enough to open a sliding door latch so i have to clip it closed for safety. Although i've found Trixie runs to be well made, they're not always thoughtfully made when it comes to adapting them to align with or secure to other Trixie products.
